Massachusetts General Hospital is seeking a highly qualified Yoga Instructor to join our team and lead our patients and staff in the ancient practice of yoga. As a Yoga Instructor at MGH, you will have the opportunity to share your knowledge and expertise with a diverse community, helping individuals of all ages and abilities to improve their overall health and quality of life.   1. Lead yoga classes for patients and staff at Massachusetts General Hospital, providing instruction and guidance on proper techniques and poses.
  2. Create a welcoming and inclusive environment for individuals of all ages and abilities to practice yoga.
  3. Develop class plans and sequences that align with the hospital's mission and cater to the specific needs and goals of the participants.
  4. Continuously educate oneself on the latest developments and research in the field of yoga and incorporate it into class instruction.
  5. Ensure the safety and well-being of all participants by monitoring for proper form and offering modifications when necessary.
  6. Foster a positive and supportive atmosphere that encourages relaxation, mindfulness, and stress reduction.
  7. Collaborate with other healthcare professionals at the hospital to integrate yoga into treatment plans for patients.
  8. Communicate effectively with patients, staff, and hospital administration regarding class schedules, updates, and any concerns.
  9. Maintain a clean and organized yoga studio space, ensuring all equipment is properly sanitized and available for use.
  10. Act as an ambassador for the hospital by promoting the benefits of yoga and its role in holistic wellness.

Job Qualifications
  • Certified Yoga Instructor: Candidates Must Possess A Valid Certification From A Recognized Yoga School Or Organization.

  • Relevant Experience: Candidates Should Have A Minimum Of 3 Years Of Teaching Experience As A Yoga Instructor, Preferably In A Healthcare Setting.

  • Knowledge Of Anatomy And Physiology: A Thorough Understanding Of Human Anatomy And Physiology Is Essential To Teach Safe And Effective Yoga Poses To Patients With Various Medical Conditions.

  • Strong Communication Skills: The Ability To Communicate Clearly And Effectively With Patients, Healthcare Professionals, And Other Staff Members Is Crucial In This Role.

  • Flexibility And Adaptability: The Ideal Candidate Should Be Able To Adapt To Different Patient Populations, Modify Yoga Poses According To Individual Needs, And Be Comfortable Teaching In Both Group And One-On-One Settings.
