Responsibilities of the Senior EEG Technician: • Perform diagnostic and monitoring EEGs in accordance with established guidelines and protocols • Ensure accuracy and quality of EEG recordings • Maintain patient safety and comfort throughout the EEG procedure • Assist in troubleshooting and resolving EEG technical issues • Assist in training and supervising junior EEG technicians • Ensure EEG equipment is in proper working order • Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals • Maintain detailed patient records and documentation • Prepare EEG reports for review • Provide patient education about EEGs and the related procedure • Demonstrate an understanding of HIPAA regulations and patient privacy • Participate in continuing education and professional development opportunities
