Drafter/Designer Specialist

Applies specialized technical skills in creating fully developed, error-free product models and using 3-D CAD systems/CATIA. Engages in complex problem solving, design, analysis, consultation, and related support activities in pursuit of new or improved company products and procedures. Estimates time required for design and drafting jobs. Attends design reviews and provides input on Engineering Change Notices. Reviews and verifies the design work of other designers and engineers to ensure technical correctness and accuracy in fit, form, and function. Liaises closely with Engineering, Manufacturing, Procurement, and Quality Assurance through the product development cycle to ensure technical requirements and schedule are met. Works directly with engineers, technicians, and new product development team to resolve design issues. Represents the organization in significant specialized technical matters. Provide interface and coordination with senior technical personnel of other companies, customers, and/or supplier organizations.
