
Certified Pharmacy Technician
MUSC Health is seeking an experienced and knowledgeable Certified Pharmacy Technician to join our pharmacy team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for providing outstanding customer service and will be able to work independently and as part of a team. In this position, you will be responsible for managing the daily workflow of the pharmacy and ensuring accuracy in the order entry and medication delivery process.The successful candidate will possess the following qualifications:• High school diploma or GED• Certification as a Pharmacy Technician from an accredited program• 1-2 years of retail or hospital pharmacy experience• Knowledge of medical terminology, pharmaceutical drugs, and medical equipment• Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to work with all levels of staff• Ability to work independently and as part of a team• Commitment to providing outstanding customer serviceIf you are an experienced Certified Pharmacy Technician with a commitment to excellence and a passion for patient care, we invite you to join our pharmacy team at MUSC Health.
Responsibilities:
- Provide excellent customer service to patients and their families.
- Ensure accuracy in order entry and medication delivery.
- Manage daily workflow of pharmacy.
- Maintain knowledge of medical terminology, pharmaceutical drugs, and medical equipment.
- Work independently or as part of a team to meet goals.
- Follow all safety protocols and HIPAA guidelines.
- Assist with training and onboarding of new pharmacy technicians.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives.
- Monitor and restock pharmacy inventory.
- Resolve customer inquiries and complaints in a timely and professional manner.
