Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist

MUSC Health seeks an experienced Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA) with the qualifications and compassion necessary to join our growing Anesthesia team. This is an excellent opportunity to join an established and respected organization in the greater Charleston area.The CRNA will be responsible for providing a wide range of anesthetic services in collaboration with the Anesthesiologist. The successful candidate must have experience in the operating room setting, excellent communication and problem-solving skills, and the ability to make sound judgments in high-pressure situations. This position requires a current license to practice in South Carolina, as well as a minimum of one year of experience as a CRNA. A Master's degree in Nursing Anesthesia is preferred.

Responsibilities:

1. Provide a wide range of anesthetic services in collaboration with the Anesthesiologist.
2. Maintain current license to practice in South Carolina.
3. Administer general, regional, and local anesthetics for surgical and other procedures.
4. Monitor patient status during anesthesia, including vital signs, heart rate, and level of consciousness.
5. Ensure safety of the patient throughout the procedure.
6. Work with physicians and staff to ensure that the patient receives quality care.
7. Demonstrate excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
8. Make sound judgments in high-pressure situations.
9. Maintain current knowledge of anesthesia practices and procedures.
10. Participate in continuing education opportunities as needed.
