- Dispense medication and provide pharmaceutical care to patients with complex and chronic conditions.
- Collaborate with healthcare providers to ensure the safe and effective use of medications.
- Conduct medication therapy management and make recommendations for therapeutic interventions.
- Monitor patients' medication regimens and provide education on proper use and potential side effects.
- Participate in drug utilization reviews and assist in developing and implementing medication-related policies and procedures.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records and documentation.
- Stay current with new developments and advancements in pharmaceutical care.
- Provide clinical support and guidance to pharmacy technicians and other support staff.
- Collaborate with insurance companies and other payers to obtain prior authorizations and ensure patients have access to necessary medications.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and provide input on medication-related issues.
- Serve as a resource for patients, healthcare providers, and other team members regarding medication-related questions and concerns.
- Adhere to all state and federal regulations and guidelines related to pharmacy practice.
- Demonstrate excellent communication and interpersonal skills in order to effectively interact with patients, colleagues, and other healthcare professionals.
- Contribute to the overall success and growth of the specialty pharmacy program at MUSC Health.

Doctor Of Pharmacy (Pharmd) Degree From An Accredited College Of Pharmacy
Active And Unrestricted Pharmacist License In The State Of South Carolina
Board Certification In A Specialty Area Such As Ambulatory Care, Oncology, Or Infectious Diseases
Minimum Of 3-5 Years Of Experience In A Clinical Pharmacy Role, Preferably In A Specialty Pharmacy Setting
Excellent Communication And Interpersonal Skills, With The Ability To Collaborate With A Multidisciplinary Healthcare Team And Provide Patient-Centered Care.
