
Communications Specialist
We’re looking for a Communications Specialist with the right mix of creativity and technical know-how to join the team at MUSC Health. The successful candidate should have a passion for public relations, communications, and health sciences, and be able to draw on their experience and knowledge to develop and execute successful strategies and plans. Our Communications Specialist should be a highly organized individual with excellent written and verbal communication skills and the ability to think outside of the box.The ideal candidate should possess the following qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Public Relations, Marketing, or a related field; at least three years of relevant experience in a communications role; experience developing and managing successful communications strategies; and strong knowledge of digital and traditional media platforms.If you have the right qualifications and are driven to make a difference in the health sciences space, we want to hear from you.
Responsibilities:
- Develop, execute, and manage successful communications strategies and plans.
- Write and edit content for web, print, and other digital platforms.
- Manage and monitor relevant media platforms for developing news and trends.
- Monitor, analyze, and report on the effectiveness of communications strategies.
- Develop relationships with key stakeholders and media contacts.
- Create and maintain comprehensive communications materials.
- Assist in the planning and execution of marketing and communications events.
- Brainstorm creative ideas to promote MUSC Health initiatives.
- Manage the production of print and digital materials, including newsletters, brochures, and websites.
- Develop and implement processes related to communications, such as surveys and feedback mechanisms.
Proficiency In Microsoft Office Suite
