- Provide specialized care and treatment to children with developmental and behavioral needs.
- Conduct thorough assessments and evaluations of patients to determine their individual needs and create personalized treatment plans.
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals, including therapists, psychologists, and social workers, to provide comprehensive care to patients.
- Serve as a resource and consultant for colleagues and staff on developmental and behavioral pediatric issues.
- Keep current with advancements and best practices in the field of developmental and behavioral pediatrics.
- Build and maintain relationships with patients and their families, providing compassionate and supportive care.
- Document patient care accurately and efficiently in electronic medical records.
- Participate in educational and community outreach programs to raise awareness and promote early intervention for developmental and behavioral issues.
- Stay up-to-date with insurance requirements and provide necessary documentation for reimbursement.
- Adhere to all safety and confidentiality protocols to protect the well-being and privacy of patients.
- Maintain a positive and professional attitude while interacting with patients, families, and colleagues.
- Contribute to a collaborative and supportive work environment, working closely with other team members to provide the best possible care to patients.
- Attend and participate in meetings, conferences, and trainings to continually enhance knowledge and skills in developmental and behavioral pediatrics.

Medical Degree: A Developmental Behavioral Pediatrician At Musc Health Must Have A Doctor Of Medicine (Md) Or Doctor Of Osteopathic Medicine (Do) Degree From An Accredited Medical School.
Board Certification: Musc Health Requires All Developmental Behavioral Pediatricians To Be Board Certified In Developmental-Behavioral Pediatrics By The American Board Of Pediatrics.
Fellowship Training: Candidates Must Have Completed A Fellowship In Developmental-Behavioral Pediatrics From An Accredited Institution. This Training Should Include Experience In Diagnosing And Managing A Wide Range Of Developmental And Behavioral Disorders In Children.
Licensure: Candidates Must Hold A Valid And Unrestricted Medical License To Practice In The State Of South Carolina. This License Must Be Maintained Throughout Employment With Musc Health.
Communication And Interpersonal Skills: As This Role Requires Working Closely With Children, Their Families, And Other Healthcare Professionals, Strong Communication And Interpersonal Skills Are Essential. Candidates Must Be Able To Effectively Communicate Complex Medical Information In A Compassionate And Empathetic Manner.
