  1. Develop and implement a comprehensive communication strategy that aligns with the organization's mission, vision, and goals.
  2. Create and maintain a strong brand identity for MUSC Health through various channels such as social media, press releases, website, and print materials.
  3. Serve as the primary spokesperson for the organization, effectively communicating its key messages to the media and other external stakeholders.
  4. Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders including patients, employees, community leaders, and media contacts.
  5. Manage all internal and external communication, ensuring timely and accurate dissemination of information.
  6. Oversee the production of all communication materials, including newsletters, brochures, and digital content.
  7. Collaborate with leadership and other departments to develop and implement crisis communication plans.
  8. Monitor and analyze media coverage and public perception of the organization, providing strategic recommendations to enhance the organization's image.
  9. Stay up-to-date with industry trends and best practices in healthcare communications, incorporating them into the organization's communication strategy.
  10. Manage a team of communication professionals, providing guidance, support, and professional development opportunities.
  11. Develop and manage the communication budget, ensuring efficient and effective use of resources.
  12. Serve as a liaison between the organization and external vendors, ensuring all communication materials are produced according to brand standards and guidelines.
  13. Plan and execute special events and campaigns to promote the organization's services and achievements.
  14. Act as a brand ambassador for MUSC Health, promoting its mission and values to internal and external audiences.
  15. Uphold the organization's ethical standards and maintain confidentiality in all communication efforts.

Job Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree In Communications, Public Relations, Journalism, Or A Related Field.

  • Minimum Of 5 Years Experience In A Leadership Role In Communications Or Public Relations.

  • Extensive Knowledge Of Healthcare Industry And Trends.

  • Excellent Written And Verbal Communication Skills.

  • Proven Track Record Of Developing And Implementing Successful Communication Strategies.
