Emergency Management Manager

MUSC Health, a leader in healthcare in South Carolina, is looking for an organized, energetic, and highly motivated Emergency Management Manager to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for the development and implementation of emergency plans to ensure the safety and health of our patients, staff, and visitors. You will also serve as a liaison between MUSC Health and external agencies, such as local first responders and law enforcement.The ideal candidate for this position will have a bachelor's degree in Emergency Management, Public Health, or a related field of study. Additionally, you must have a minimum of five years of experience in emergency management and crisis management. You must also have excellent communication skills and be willing to take on a leadership role. Responsibilities:

1. Develop and implement emergency plans to ensure the safety and health of patients, staff, and visitors.
2. Serve as a liaison between MUSC Health and external agencies, such as local first responders and law enforcement.
3. Analyze risks and create strategies to mitigate those risks.
4. Monitor and update emergency plans regularly.
5. Train staff and volunteers on emergency protocols and procedures.
6. Coordinate with other departments and divisions to ensure emergency plans are in compliance with regulations.
7. Evaluate emergency response efforts and implement improvements as needed.
8. Manage emergency response budget.
9. Develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders such as local first responders and law enforcement.
10. Utilize the National Incident Management System (NIMS) and the Incident Command System (ICS).
