  1. Conduct thorough evaluations of patients to determine their specific needs and develop individualized treatment plans.
  2. Provide direct occupational therapy services to patients with a variety of physical, developmental, and emotional challenges.
  3. Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to create a comprehensive treatment approach for patients.
  4. Continuously monitor and assess patient progress, adjusting treatment plans as necessary.
  5. Educate patients and their families on therapy techniques and home exercises to promote independence and improve overall functioning.
  6. Maintain accurate and detailed records of patient treatment and progress.
  7. Stay up-to-date on current occupational therapy practices and techniques and incorporate them into treatment plans.
  8. Communicate effectively with patients, families, and interdisciplinary team members to ensure the best possible care.
  9. Adhere to all ethical and legal standards in the provision of occupational therapy services.
  10. Participate in departmental meetings, trainings, and professional development opportunities.
  11. Contribute to a positive and collaborative work environment within the occupational therapy department and across other departments.
  12. Adhere to all hospital policies and procedures to ensure high-quality patient care and safety.
  13. Continuously seek opportunities for improvement and innovation in patient care.
  14. Maintain a positive and professional demeanor with patients, families, and colleagues at all times.
  15. Represent MUSC Health and the occupational therapy department in a positive and professional manner.

Job Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Or Master's Degree In Occupational Therapy From An Accredited Program.

  • Active License To Practice Occupational Therapy In The State Of South Carolina.

  • Minimum Of 1-2 Years Of Experience In Clinical Settings, Preferably In A Hospital Or Healthcare Setting.

  • Knowledge Of Current Occupational Therapy Practices And Techniques, As Well As Experience With Various Assessment And Treatment Tools.

  • Strong Communication And Interpersonal Skills, With The Ability To Work Well With Patients, Families, And Interdisciplinary Healthcare Teams.
