
Patient Access Representative
Are you an organized and patient-focused professional with excellent communication skills? MUSC Health is looking for a Patient Access Representative to provide outstanding customer service to our patients and ensure smooth processing of patient registration. As a Patient Access Representative, you will be the first point of contact for our patients and will be responsible for obtaining all necessary information to ensure accurate and timely patient access.To be successful in this role, you should have excellent multitasking and problem-solving skills and be knowledgeable in medical terminology and insurance requirements. Responsibilities:
- Assist patients with registering for appointments, completing paperwork, and collecting required information.
- Ensure accuracy and completeness of patient information in the registration system.
- Ensure compliance with insurance requirements and medical terminology.
- Provide excellent customer service to patients.
- Maintain patient confidentiality.
- Answer incoming calls, emails, and other inquiries from patients.
- Perform administrative tasks such as filing paperwork and processing payments.
- Manage patient records and update patient information.
- Resolve patient complaints in a timely and professional manner.
- Utilize problem-solving skills to resolve patient issues.
- Maintain a friendly and professional attitude at all times.
