Pharmacy Technician - Emergency Room

MUSC Health is looking for an exceptional Pharmacy Technician with a passion for delivering outstanding patient care in our Emergency Room. As a key member of our pharmacy team, you’ll be responsible for providing accurate and timely medication-related services to our patients. The ideal candidate will have a strong combination of pharmacy and customer service skills, as well as a commitment to delivering outstanding patient care in a fast-paced environment. Required qualifications include:• High school diploma or equivalent• Current Pharmacy Technician Certification• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment• Excellent customer service skills• Ability to pay close attention to detail• Ability to work in a team setting• Experience in a hospital setting is a plus

Responsibilities for this position include:

1. Accurately fill and dispense medication orders in accordance with established policies and procedures.
2. Provide excellent customer service to all patients in the Emergency Room.
3. Ensure accuracy of all medication-related services provided.
4. Maintain a clean and organized work area.
5. Follow all safety protocols in order to ensure a safe working environment for all staff and patients.
6. Participate in team meetings and other pharmacy-related activities as required.
7. Keep up to date on the latest pharmacy laws and regulations.
8. Assist in the training of new pharmacy technicians.
9. Assist in inventory management and ordering of supplies.
10. Perform other duties as assigned.
