  1. Provide exceptional patient care in accordance with the highest standards of medical practice.
  2. Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement treatment plans for patients.
  3. Conduct thorough patient assessments, including medical histories, physical exams, and diagnostic tests.
  4. Prescribe and administer medications under the supervision of a physician.
  5. Perform procedures and assist in surgeries as needed.
  6. Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records.
  7. Communicate effectively and compassionately with patients and their families, providing education and support as needed.
  8. Stay current on advancements and changes in the medical field, and implement new techniques and technologies as appropriate.
  9. Adhere to all safety and infection control protocols.
  10. Participate in research activities and clinical trials as directed by supervising physicians.
  11. Mentor and train medical students, residents, and other healthcare professionals.
  12. Maintain a professional and positive attitude, representing MUSC Health and its values at all times.
  13. Collaborate with other healthcare team members to ensure coordinated and comprehensive patient care.
  14. Participate in quality improvement initiatives and adhere to all regulatory guidelines.
  15. Attend conferences, workshops, and other educational opportunities to maintain and enhance skills and knowledge.
  16. Adhere to all ethical and legal standards of the medical profession.
  17. Complete all required documentation and administrative tasks accurately and in a timely manner.
  18. Communicate effectively with colleagues, supervisors, and other staff members to ensure smooth and efficient operations.
  19. Maintain a positive and respectful work environment.
  20. Continuously evaluate and improve patient care processes and outcomes.

Job Qualifications
  • Master's Degree In Physician Assistant Studies From An Accredited Institution

  • Current Certification From The National Commission On Certification Of Physician Assistants (Nccpa)

  • Minimum Of 2 Years Of Clinical Experience In A Healthcare Setting

  • Current State Licensure As A Physician Assistant In South Carolina

  • Strong Communication And Interpersonal Skills, With The Ability To Work Effectively In A Team-Based Environment.
