  1. Develop and implement quality and safety protocols for the Heart & Vascular department in alignment with MUSC Health's mission and standards.
  2. Monitor and analyze data related to patient outcomes and safety incidents to identify areas for improvement.
  3. Collaborate with department leaders to establish and maintain a culture of continuous quality improvement.
  4. Conduct regular audits and reviews to ensure compliance with regulatory standards and best practices.
  5. Provide guidance and support to department staff on quality and safety initiatives.
  6. Develop and deliver training programs to promote a culture of patient safety and quality improvement.
  7. Serve as a liaison between the Heart & Vascular department and other MUSC Health departments to coordinate quality and safety initiatives.
  8. Keep abreast of industry trends and best practices in quality and safety management, and make recommendations for improvement.
  9. Lead and facilitate quality improvement teams to address identified areas for improvement.
  10. Communicate regularly with upper management on the progress and outcomes of quality and safety initiatives.
  11. Develop and maintain effective relationships with external quality and safety organizations.
  12. Conduct regular risk assessments and develop risk management strategies to minimize potential hazards.
  13. Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements and participate in accreditation processes.
  14. Collaborate with the patient experience team to address patient concerns and complaints related to quality and safety.
  15. Participate in the recruitment and training of new quality and safety staff members.

Job Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree In Healthcare Administration, Nursing, Or A Related Field.

  • Minimum Of 5 Years Experience In Quality And Safety Management In A Hospital Or Healthcare Setting.

  • Knowledge And Understanding Of Regulatory Requirements, Accreditation Standards, And Best Practices Related To Quality And Patient Safety In The Cardiovascular Field.

  • Strong Leadership Skills And The Ability To Develop And Implement Quality Improvement Initiatives.

  • Excellent Communication And Interpersonal Skills, With The Ability To Collaborate And Work Effectively With Multidisciplinary Teams.
