Registered Nurse - Adult ER

MUSC Health is looking for an experienced and compassionate Registered Nurse - Adult ER to provide exceptional care to our patients. As an integral member of our team, the successful candidate will possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, as well as experience in emergency room nursing.We are looking for an individual who is comfortable working in a fast-paced environment and is passionate about providing high-quality care. The Registered Nurse - Adult ER will be responsible for evaluating, diagnosing, and managing patient care while ensuring the safety and well-being of our patients.The ideal candidate will have a current and valid Registered Nurse License in South Carolina, a minimum of two years' experience in an emergency room setting, and be certified in Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS). Additionally, the successful candidate will have the ability to remain calm in often stressful situations while exhibiting flexibility and adaptability.

Responsibilities:

1. Evaluate patients to determine their medical condition and develop a plan of care.
2. Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians.
3. Monitor patient progress and document all relevant information in patient charts.
4. Provide patient and family education and counseling.
5. Maintain a safe and clean environment for patients and staff.
6. Respond to patient emergencies and provide appropriate interventions.
7. Follow policies and procedures for asepsis and infection control.
8. Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to deliver comprehensive care.
9. Ensure compliance with all relevant laws and regulations.
10. Maintain a current and valid Registered Nurse License in South Carolina.
11. Possess certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS).
12. Possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
13. Demonstrate comfort working in a fast-paced environment.
14. Remain calm and exhibit flexibility and adaptability in often stressful situations.
15. Possess a minimum of two years' experience in an emergency room setting.
