Job Description

MUSC Health is seeking a School Behavioral Health Coordinator to join our team of passionate professionals committed to providing best-in-class care for our patients. This role will be responsible for providing direct behavioral health services to children, adolescents, and young adults in a school setting. We are looking for an individual with excellent clinical skills, a commitment to social justice, and an ability to work collaboratively with school personnel, families, and other community providers. If you are passionate about making a positive impact on the mental health of children and young adults, we invite you to apply.Required Qualifications: • Master’s Degree in Social Work, Psychology, or a related field• Clinical licensure in South Carolina or eligible for licensure• Demonstrated knowledge of mental health and behavioral health services• 2+ years of experience providing clinical services to children, adolescents, and young adults• Knowledge of clinical best practices in working with school communities• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities• Excellent communication and organizational skills

Responsibilites:

  1. Provide direct behavioral health services to children, adolescents, and young adults in a school setting.
  2. Demonstrate knowledge of mental health and behavioral health services.
  3. Develop and implement treatment plans in collaboration with school personnel, families, and other community providers.
  4. Utilize clinical best practices in working with school communities.
  5. Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of services provided.
  6. Provide crisis intervention and help manage behavioral issues.
  7. Remain informed on relevant mental health legislative updates and best practices.
  8. Collaborate with school staff and parents to ensure appropriate care for students.
  9. Monitor and evaluate clinical outcomes.
  10. Participate in community outreach events to promote mental health awareness.
