
Sleep Lab Technician
MUSC Health is seeking an experienced Sleep Lab Technician to join our team to provide comprehensive care to our patients with sleep disorders. We are looking for a motivated team member who is passionate about providing high-quality care to our patients. To be successful in this role, you must have a strong attention to detail, familiarity with sleep lab equipment, and excellent communication skills. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of a high school diploma and experience in a sleep lab or medical setting. Responsibilities:
- Provide comprehensive care to patients with sleep disorders in accordance with MUSC Health standards.
- Maintain and operate sleep lab equipment in a safe and efficient manner.
- Maintain complete and accurate records of patients’ sleep data and patient care.
- Monitor patients’ sleeping patterns and alert physicians to any abnormal results.
- Utilize appropriate diagnostic techniques to identify and document sleep disorders.
- Work collaboratively with other healthcare professionals to ensure quality patient care.
- Educate patients and their families on proper sleep habits and the importance of proper sleep hygiene.
- Stay current with the latest developments and advancements in sleep medicine.
- Perform administrative duties such as filing, scheduling appointments, and preparing reports.
- Follow all safety and infection control policies and procedures.
