  1. Perform complex and specialized thoracic surgeries with a high level of precision and expertise.
  2. Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to develop comprehensive treatment plans for patients.
  3. Stay up-to-date on the latest advancements and techniques in thoracic surgery through ongoing education and training.
  4. Maintain accurate and detailed medical records for all patients.
  5. Adhere to all safety protocols and procedures to ensure the well-being of patients and staff.

Job Qualifications

  • Board Certification In Thoracic Surgery: The Ideal Candidate For A Thoracic Surgeon Position At Musc Health Should Possess A Board Certification In Thoracic Surgery From An Accredited Institution.

  • Extensive Experience In Thoracic Surgery: Musc Health Is Seeking A Thoracic Surgeon With A Minimum Of 5 Years Of Experience In Performing Complex Thoracic Surgeries, Including Lung, Esophageal, And Chest Wall Surgeries.

  • Advanced Training In Minimally Invasive Techniques: Candidates Should Have Advanced Training In Minimally Invasive Techniques Such As Robotic-Assisted Surgery And Video-Assisted Thoracic Surgery (Vats).

  • Strong Interpersonal And Communication Skills: As A Thoracic Surgeon At Musc Health, The Candidate Will Be Expected To Work Closely With A Multidisciplinary Team, Including Other Surgeons, Nurses, And Support Staff. Strong Interpersonal And Communication Skills Are Essential For Effective Collaboration.
