  1. Oversee and manage the daily operations of the phlebotomy team, ensuring that all tasks and responsibilities are carried out efficiently and accurately.
  2. Train, mentor, and provide guidance to phlebotomy staff, promoting a positive and productive work environment.
  3. Monitor and maintain staffing levels to ensure adequate coverage and support for patient care needs.
  4. Ensure compliance with all applicable laws and regulations, as well as company policies and procedures.
  5. Maintain a high level of quality and accuracy in all phlebotomy procedures, including proper specimen collection, labeling, and processing.
  6. Conduct regular audits and quality checks to identify and address any issues or areas for improvement.
  7. Collaborate with other departments and stakeholders to ensure smooth and timely delivery of laboratory results.
  8. Provide exceptional patient care and customer service, addressing any concerns or complaints in a timely and professional manner.
  9. Monitor and manage inventory levels and ordering of phlebotomy supplies to ensure adequate stock and cost-effectiveness.
  10. Stay updated on industry developments and advancements in phlebotomy techniques and equipment, and make recommendations for their implementation.
  11. Foster a culture of teamwork, accountability, and continuous improvement within the phlebotomy team.
  12. Adhere to and promote company values and standards, including patient confidentiality and data protection.
  13. Maintain accurate and up-to-date records and documentation related to phlebotomy procedures, staff training, and performance evaluations.
  14. Participate in the recruitment and hiring process for new phlebotomy staff.
  15. Handle any other duties or responsibilities as assigned by upper management.

Job Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree In A Related Field Or Equivalent Work Experience In Phlebotomy And/Or Healthcare Management.

  • Minimum Of 3-5 Years Of Experience In A Supervisory Role, Preferably In A Phlebotomy Or Laboratory Setting.

  • Knowledge Of Laboratory And Phlebotomy Best Practices, Including Safety Protocols And Regulatory Requirements.

  • Strong Leadership And Interpersonal Skills, With The Ability To Effectively Communicate And Collaborate With A Diverse Team.

  • Current Certification As A Phlebotomist And/Or Other Relevant Healthcare Certifications (E.g. Cpr, Hipaa) Preferred.
