Job Description

Nelnet is seeking an experienced and motivated Corporate Communications Specialist to help shape our company’s public image and cultivate relationships with the media. This position requires a natural storyteller with exceptional writing and communication skills, a strategic thinker with a knack for creative problem-solving, and a passion for staying informed of industry trends.The Corporate Communications Specialist will be responsible for developing and executing comprehensive communications plans, crafting engaging content, and helping to cultivate positive relationships with the media. The ideal candidate will be able to think on their feet and work independently to ensure Nelnet’s message is accurately and effectively communicated to our target audiences. The successful candidate must have a Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Public Relations, or a related field, as well as at least five years’ experience in the field of communications. They must also possess excellent written and verbal communication skills, and a deep understanding of the media landscape. Knowledge of corporate communications and public relations principles is a must.
