Corporate Communications Specialist
Nelnet is looking for a Corporate Communications Specialist to join our growing team. We’re looking for a highly motivated, self-starter with an unwavering commitment to excellence. Our ideal candidate should have a background in communications and public relations, as well as a deep understanding of corporate messaging and the ability to effectively communicate with both internal and external audiences. The Corporate Communications Specialist must be an excellent writer, possess an eye for detail, and have an understanding of the news media and social media.The successful candidate should have a Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Journalism, Public Relations, or a related field, along with at least two years of experience in the communications field. They should also have an understanding of corporate communications strategies and tactics, as well as a proven track record of success in developing and executing communication plans. We’re looking for an individual who is organized, detail-oriented, and able to multitask in a fast-paced environment. If you have a passion for communications, a knack for writing, and an ability to build relationships across a variety of departments, then we want to hear from you!
Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute comprehensive communication plans for both internal and external audiences.
- Write and edit content for press releases, internal newsletters, website copy, and other corporate communication materials.
- Monitor news media and social media for relevant industry topics and trends.
- Create content and provide support for corporate events and initiatives.
- Develop and maintain relationships with internal teams, external stakeholders, and vendors.
- Utilize analytics to measure the effectiveness of corporate communication efforts.
- Develop and maintain corporate communications policies.
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends and emerging technologies.
- Provide guidance and support to other departments in the development of their communication plans.
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure consistent messaging.
