Job Description

We are looking for a Chemical and Waste Management Specialist to join our team at New York University and help us ensure compliance with the University's hazardous waste and chemical management program. The ideal candidate will have a strong commitment to environmental and safety standards, along with the technical knowledge and communication skills necessary to support our hazardous waste management program.The Chemical and Waste Management Specialist will be responsible for implementing and maintaining the University's hazardous waste and chemical management program. This includes ensuring compliance with applicable regulations, providing training and guidance to University staff, and maintaining accurate records and documents related to hazardous waste and chemical management.We are looking for a qualified and motivated individual with the following qualifications: a bachelor's degree in environmental science, chemistry, or a related field; knowledge of hazardous waste management regulations; experience in hazardous waste management and chemical handling; excellent communication skills; and a familiarity with databases and records management systems. Experience working in a university setting is preferred.
