Assistant Merchandiser

We are looking for an energetic and highly organized Assistant Merchandiser to join our team at NEXT plc. The ideal candidate will have a passion for fashion, a great eye for detail, and a flair for marketing.You must have at least one year of experience working in a similar role, ideally with a fashion retailer, and a degree in fashion or business. You should be comfortable working in a fast-paced environment and have excellent communication and analytical skills.You will be part of an exciting team that is responsible for planning, budgeting, and reporting on the sales and profits of the merchandise range. You will be responsible for maintaining accurate and up-to-date reports, monitoring sales performance, and ensuring the right product mix is in place to maximize sales.We are looking for someone who is not afraid to get stuck in and take ownership of their role. Responsibilities:

1. Maintain accurate and up-to-date reports on the sales and profits of the merchandise range.
2. Monitor sales performance to ensure the right product mix is in place to maximize sales.
3. Plan, budget, and report on the sales and profits of the merchandise range.
4. Work with the merchandising team to ensure the product selection is in line with customer demand.
5. Keep up to date with market trends and competitor activity to help inform buying decisions.
6. Develop relationships with suppliers to ensure the best possible product range and pricing.
7. Liaise with other departments to ensure smooth running of the merchandising process.
8. Assist in the training and development of junior team members.
9. Manage and resolve any customer or supplier complaints in a timely manner.
10. Assist in the preparation of promotional materials and other marketing activities.
