Director, Operations - Radiology

The Director of Operations for Radiology at Northwell Health will be a dynamic leader with a passion for excellence in patient care and operational efficiency. This role is critical in ensuring the highest quality of care is delivered to our patients, while managing the day-to-day operational activities of our radiology department. The successful candidate will possess a strong background in patient care and operational management, as well as a commitment to Northwell Health's mission of providing the highest level of care to our patients.The ideal candidate for this role will have a minimum of 7 years of professional experience in a healthcare setting, with at least 5 of those years in an administrative or operations role; a Bachelor’s degree in healthcare administration, business, or a related field; and a track record of success in leading operational and patient care initiatives. In addition, the successful candidate will demonstrate excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and an ability to motivate and inspire team members. We seek a leader who is both detail-oriented and able to think strategically in order to develop and implement innovative solutions to operational challenges.

Responsibilites:

1. Oversee the day-to-day operations of the radiology department, including managing personnel, budgeting, and scheduling.
2. Develop and implement operational initiatives to improve patient care, operational efficiency, and quality of care.
3. Monitor and evaluate performance of personnel to ensure operational goals are met.
4. Create and manage the budget for the department, including tracking and forecasting expenditures.
5. Collaborate with other departments and healthcare professionals to ensure the highest quality of care is provided to patients.
6. Develop and maintain relationships with vendors and other external partners to ensure the best possible services and products are provided.
7. Identify and address potential issues with operational processes and procedures.
8. Develop and implement policies and procedures to ensure compliance with regulatory and accreditation standards.
9. Lead team meetings and provide guidance and motivation to personnel.
10. Act as a liaison between the radiology department and senior management.
