Food Service Assistant

We’re looking for a passionate and motivated Food Service Assistant to join the team at Northwell Health. As a Food Service Assistant, you will assist with food production, service, and delivery in the kitchen. You must be an excellent multi-tasker with the ability to work cooperatively with a team. We’re looking for someone who is hardworking, detail-oriented, and has a desire to learn and grow with our organization. Previous experience working in a health care setting is preferred but not required. You should also have a basic understanding of food safety regulations and be able to follow instructions. Responsibilities:

1. Assist with food production, service, and delivery in the kitchen.
2. Multitask and work cooperatively with a team to ensure customer satisfaction.
3. Follow all food safety regulations and instructions.
4. Maintain a clean and organized work area.
5. Provide excellent customer service.
6. Monitor inventory and stock supplies as needed.
7. Ensure all food is prepared and served safely and according to health department regulations.
8. Adhere to all sanitation and safety guidelines.
9. Assist with the closing of the kitchen and the cleaning of kitchen equipment and utensils.
10. Perform other related duties as assigned.
