Mammography Technologist

The Mammography Technologist at Northwell Health will be responsible for providing high quality mammogram imaging services to our patients. The successful candidate will have a thorough understanding of mammography techniques and equipment, as well as excellent patient care and communication skills. Required Qualifications:• Current certification in Mammography from the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) • Minimum of two years of experience in Mammography • Experience with mammography positioning and patient education • Knowledge of mammography quality assurance • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills • Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment • Strong organizational and time management skills

Responsibilities:

1. Prepare and position patients for mammography imaging
2. Operate mammography equipment and adjust settings as needed
3. Provide quality assurance for mammography images
4. Maintain detailed records of patient information and imaging results
5. Educate patients on the procedure, answer questions, and provide emotional support
6. Follow safety protocols and maintain a clean and organized work area
7. Ensure all equipment is calibrated and functioning properly
8. Collaborate with medical staff and other healthcare professionals to ensure quality care
9. Participate in continuing education and training to stay current with new technologies and techniques
