  1. Accurately document and transcribe patient visits under the direction of physicians.
  2. Maintain organized and detailed medical records for efficient record-keeping.
  3. Communicate effectively with physicians, patients, and other healthcare professionals.
  4. Demonstrate a strong understanding of medical terminology and procedures.
  5. Perform basic medical tasks such as taking vitals, preparing patients for exams, and assisting with procedures.
  6. Maintain patient confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA regulations.
  7. Collaborate with physicians to ensure accurate and complete documentation of patient visits.
  8. Handle sensitive and confidential information with professionalism and discretion.
  9. Provide exceptional patient care and ensure patient comfort and satisfaction.
  10. Keep up-to-date with medical advancements and changes in procedures and terminology.
  11. Assist in managing administrative tasks such as scheduling appointments and maintaining patient records.

Job Qualifications
  • Completion Of A Medical Assistant Program Or Equivalent Training: This Qualification Ensures That The Candidate Has A Strong Foundation In Medical Terminology, Anatomy, And Clinical Skills.

  • Experience With Electronic Medical Records (Emr) And Scribe Duties: Northwell Health Uses Emr Systems For Documentation, So Experience With This Technology And Knowledge Of Scribe Duties Such As Charting And Transcribing Physician Notes Is Important.

  • Excellent Communication And Interpersonal Skills: As A Medical Assistant Scribe, The Candidate Will Be Working Closely With Physicians, Patients, And Other Healthcare Professionals. Strong Communication Skills Are Essential For Effective Teamwork And Patient Care.

  • Knowledge Of Medical Coding And Billing: Familiarity With Medical Coding And Billing Procedures Is Important For Accurate Documentation And Proper Reimbursement For Services Rendered.

  • Ability To Multitask And Work In A Fast-Paced Environment: Medical Assistant Scribes Must Be Able To Handle Multiple Tasks Simultaneously And Work Efficiently In A Fast-Paced, High-Pressure Environment.
