
Registered Nurse (RN) - NICU
We at Northwell Health are looking for an experienced Registered Nurse (RN) - NICU to join our team! The ideal candidate for this position will be a compassionate, organized, and patient-centered professional with at least 3 years of experience in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit. You will have the opportunity to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment, providing care to premature and critically ill newborns in the NICU. The successful candidate will demonstrate excellent communication and critical thinking skills to ensure the highest standards of quality care. You will collaborate with the multidisciplinary team to develop individualized care plans for each patient and provide education to families and other health care professionals.The successful candidate will possess a Bachelor of Science in Nursing and be licensed to practice nursing in the state of New York. Experience with neonatal resuscitation, IV and ventilator management, and administering medications is required. You must also demonstrate strong interpersonal skills to foster positive relationships with patients, families, and other health care providers.
Responsibilities:
- Provide compassionate and patient-centered care to premature and critically ill newborns in the NICU.
- Develop individualized care plans for each patient.
- Administer medications to patients as needed.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary team to ensure the highest standards of quality care.
- Educate families and other health care professionals on neonatal care.
- Monitor patient progress and modify care plans as needed.
- Utilize advanced clinical skills and knowledge to diagnose and treat patients.
- Demonstrate strong interpersonal skills to foster positive relationships with patients, families, and other health care providers.
- Ensure compliance with all regulatory standards and best practices.

Current New York State Rn License
