Acute Care Pharmacy Technician

Novant Health is looking for an experienced Acute Care Pharmacy Technician to join our team. We are looking for a reliable team player who has an eye for detail, excellent customer service and communication skills, and a commitment to quality. In this role, you will be responsible for providing support to the Pharmacy Manager and Pharmacist in all aspects of medication distribution, inventory management, and patient care.To be successful in this role, you must have a high school diploma or equivalent, as well as experience as a pharmacy technician in an acute care setting. You must be comfortable working independently and in collaboration with a team of medical professionals. You must be able to learn quickly, take initiative, and be comfortable working in a fast-paced environment. Responsibilities:

1. Assist Pharmacy Manager and Pharmacist in all aspects of medication distribution, inventory management, and patient care.
2. Adhere to all federal and state regulations and guidelines for medication distribution.
3. Maintain accurate and detailed records of medication orders and deliveries.
4. Prepare medications for distribution and delivery.
5. Accurately and quickly fill customer orders.
6. Ensure medication is dispensed correctly and in a timely manner.
7. Monitor and order medication inventory as needed.
8. Train and mentor new pharmacy technicians.
9. Troubleshoot and resolve medication-related issues.
10. Provide excellent customer service to patients.
