- Provide individual and group counseling sessions to patients and their families who are experiencing loss and grief.
- Develop and implement treatment plans that address the specific needs of each patient.
- Conduct thorough assessments to determine the appropriate level of care for each patient.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive care for patients and families.
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient progress and treatment plans.
- Educate patients and families on healthy coping mechanisms and resources for grief support.
- Provide crisis intervention and support during difficult situations.
- Stay informed on current research and best practices in bereavement counseling.
- Attend regular team meetings and participate in case consultations.
- Uphold ethical standards and boundaries in all interactions with patients and families.
- Collaborate with community organizations and resources to provide additional support for patients and families.
- Continuously evaluate and adjust treatment plans based on patient progress.
- Maintain confidentiality and sensitivity when working with patients and their families.
- Act as a liaison between patients, families, and healthcare providers to ensure effective communication and support.
- Participate in ongoing training and development opportunities to enhance counseling skills and knowledge.
Master's Degree In Counseling, Social Work, Psychology, Or A Related Field.
Minimum Of 2 Years Of Experience Providing Grief And Bereavement Counseling.
Certification In Grief Counseling Or Other Specialized Training In Bereavement Support.
Demonstrated Knowledge Of Grief And Loss Theories, As Well As Experience With Various Therapeutic Techniques.
Ability To Work With Diverse Populations And Provide Culturally Sensitive Counseling Services.
