Certified Medical Assistant - Orthopedics & Sports Medicine

This individual will be an integral part of the patient care team, providing support to the provider and assisting patients in a compassionate and professional manner. The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication and organizational skills as well as the ability to remain calm and focused in a fast-paced environment.The successful candidate must possess certification as a Medical Assistant from an accredited program, be knowledgeable of office procedures, and have at least one year of Orthopedics & Sports Medicine experience. Responsibilities:

• Assist the provider in providing patient care in a professional and compassionate manner
• Greet and register patients upon check-in
• Manage patient flow and keep patients informed of their wait times
• Obtain accurate patient vital signs and medical history
• Perform clerical duties such as scheduling appointments, filing, and calling in prescriptions
• Educate patients on various medical procedures and treatments
• Prepare and maintain patient records and charts
• Assist with laboratory tests and specimen collection
• Sanitize and maintain medical equipment
• Ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations
• Demonstrate a strong knowledge and understanding of Orthopedics & Sports Medicine
