
Clinical Pharmacist Oncology
Novant Health is seeking an experienced and highly motivated Clinical Pharmacist Oncology to join our team. The ideal candidate for this role will have a strong background in pharmacy practice in oncology, knowledge of oncology drug therapy, and experience with patient counseling.The Clinical Pharmacist Oncology will be responsible for providing comprehensive pharmaceutical care services to our oncology patients. This position will provide critical support to the patient care teams in the management of oncology drug therapies, including patient education, drug information support, and medication reconciliation.The ideal candidate for this position should possess:• A Doctor of Pharmacy degree from an accredited school of pharmacy• Board certification in oncology pharmacy (BCOP) or equivalent experience• Minimum of two years of oncology pharmacy experience• A valid state license to practice pharmacy• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills• Strong patient-focused service orientationIf you are looking for an opportunity to make a difference in the lives of patients and their families at Novant Health, then please apply for this position. Responsibilities:
- Provide comprehensive pharmaceutical care services to oncology patients.
- Monitor and manage drug therapies in oncology, including patient education, drug information support, and medication reconciliation.
- Maintain a valid state license to practice pharmacy.
- Collaborate with patient care teams to ensure optimal care.
- Provide timely and accurate drug information to patients and healthcare providers.
- Ensure medication safety and adherence to applicable laws and regulations.
- Create, update, and review medication orders.
- Monitor and assess patient response to drug therapies.
- Document all drug therapy activities.
- Participate in the education of students, residents, and other healthcare professionals.
• Excellent Communication And Interpersonal Skills
• Active Pharmacist License In North Carolina
• Board-Certified Oncology Pharmacist (Bcop) Certification
• Demonstrated Experience In Providing Direct Patient Care In An Oncology Setting
• Previous Experience With Intravenous Chemotherapy Admixtures
• Demonstrated Knowledge Of Usp Standards
• Ability To Work In A Fast-Paced Environment
• Knowledge Of Pharmacy Computer Systems
