  1. Monitor and interpret cardiac rhythms for patients using EKG and telemetry equipment.
  2. Ensure accurate and timely recording of all EKG and telemetry data.
  3. Collaborate with medical team to provide necessary information and updates on patient cardiac status.
  4. Maintain and troubleshoot EKG and telemetry equipment to ensure proper functioning.
  5. Adhere to all hospital and industry safety and infection control protocols.
  6. Stay updated on latest EKG and telemetry procedures and techniques.
  7. Educate patients and their families on the use and purpose of EKG and telemetry equipment.
  8. Keep accurate and organized records of all EKG and telemetry readings.
  9. Assist with other patient care tasks and procedures as needed.
  10. Participate in ongoing training and professional development opportunities.
  11. Foster a positive and welcoming environment for patients and their families.
  12. Communicate effectively with healthcare team members and follow instructions and protocols as directed.
  13. Provide exceptional customer service and patient care at all times.
  14. Maintain confidentiality of all patient information.
  15. Report any equipment malfunctions or patient concerns to appropriate personnel.

Job Qualifications
  • Certification From An Accredited Ekg/Telemetry Technician Program: Candidates For This Position Should Have Completed A Specialized Training Program And Obtained A Certification In Ekg/Telemetry Technology From An Accredited Institution.

  • Experience With Ekg And Cardiac Monitoring Equipment: Novant Health Is Looking For Candidates Who Have Hands-On Experience With Ekg Machines And Cardiac Monitoring Equipment, Including Troubleshooting And Interpretation Of Results.

  • Knowledge Of Cardiac Anatomy And Physiology: A Thorough Understanding Of Cardiac Anatomy And Physiology Is Essential For Accurately Interpreting Ekg Results And Recognizing Abnormal Rhythms.

  • Ability To Work In A Fast-Paced Environment: Ekg/Telemetry Technicians At Novant Health Are Expected To Work In A Fast-Paced Environment, Monitoring Multiple Patients Simultaneously And Responding Quickly To Changes In Their Condition.
