
Electrocardiogram (EKG) Technician
At Novant Health, our Electrocardiogram (EKG) Technicians play a vital role in ensuring our patients receive the highest quality of care. We are currently seeking an experienced EKG Technician to join our team and help provide accurate results to our cardiology team. The right candidate for this role should have a passion for patient-centered care and a commitment to excellence. The EKG Technician will be responsible for performing EKG tests, operating equipment, recording arrhythmia data, and providing follow-up care. They must be comfortable working with a diverse patient population and have an understanding of medical terminology and physiology. The successful candidate should have excellent interpersonal and communication skills and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team. Qualifications: • High school diploma or equivalent • Previous experience as an EKG Technician or similar role• Knowledge of medical terminology and physiology• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills• Ability to work independently and as part of a team• Ability to work with a diverse patient population • Ability to operate EKG equipment• Ability to record arrhythmia data • Commitment to patient-centered care
Responsibilities: • Perform EKG tests accurately and efficiently • Operate EKG equipment and record arrhythmia data • Follow up with patients to ensure accurate results • Maintain accurate documentation of patient records • Provide patient-centered care and adhere to Novant Health standards • Work both independently and as part of a team • Communicate effectively with patients and colleagues • Demonstrate knowledge of medical terminology and physiology • Work with a diverse patient population
