- Diagnose and treat patients with gynecologic cancers according to established medical protocols and best practices.
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans for patients, taking into account their unique medical history, needs, and preferences.
- Perform surgical procedures related to gynecologic oncology, including but not limited to hysterectomy, oophorectomy, and lymph node dissection.
- Monitor and manage the progress of patients undergoing treatment, including administering chemotherapy and other medications, and making adjustments as needed.
- Communicate effectively with patients and their families, providing them with information about their condition, treatment options, and potential side effects.
- Collaborate with other members of the healthcare team, including radiation oncologists, pathologists, and nurses, to ensure comprehensive and coordinated care for patients.
- Stay up-to-date on the latest advancements and research in the field of gynecologic oncology, and incorporate new techniques and treatments into practice when appropriate.
- Maintain accurate and thorough medical records for all patients, adhering to HIPAA regulations and other relevant guidelines.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and contribute to the development of clinical guidelines and protocols.
- Develop and maintain relationships with referring physicians and other healthcare providers in the community to facilitate timely and appropriate patient care.
- Act as a patient advocate, promoting their physical, emotional, and psychological well-being throughout their cancer journey.
- Comply with all organizational policies and procedures, as well as federal and state laws and regulations.
- Demonstrate a commitment to ongoing professional development and continued education in the field of gynecologic oncology.
- Serve as a mentor and resource for medical students, residents, and other members of the healthcare team.

Medical Degree: A Gynecologic Oncologist At Novant Health Must Hold A Doctor Of Medicine (Md) Degree From An Accredited Medical School.
Board Certification: Candidates Must Be Board Certified In Gynecologic Oncology By The American Board Of Obstetrics And Gynecology (Abog).
Residency And Fellowship Training: Applicants Must Have Completed A Residency Program In Obstetrics And Gynecology And A Fellowship Program In Gynecologic Oncology.
Experience: The Ideal Candidate Will Have A Minimum Of 2-3 Years Of Experience In The Field Of Gynecologic Oncology, Preferably In A Hospital Or Academic Setting.
Licensure: Candidates Must Possess A Valid Medical License In The State Of North Carolina, Or Be Eligible For Licensure By The Time Of Hire.
