Manager Capacity & Patient Flow

1. Develop and implement strategies to optimize patient flow and capacity management across all departments and facilities within the organization.
2. Monitor and analyze data on patient volume, resource utilization, and throughput to identify areas for improvement and implement solutions.
3. Collaborate with clinical and non-clinical departments to establish and maintain effective communication and coordination of patient flow processes.
4. Oversee and manage the daily operations of the Capacity and Patient Flow department, including staffing, training, and performance management.
5. Develop and maintain relationships with external stakeholders, such as hospitals and clinics, to ensure a smooth patient transfer process.
6. Stay up-to-date on industry trends and best practices related to patient flow and capacity management, and make recommendations for process improvements.
7. Conduct regular audits and quality checks to ensure compliance with regulatory guidelines and organizational policies.
8. Lead and facilitate multidisciplinary teams to address patient flow challenges and implement process improvements.
9. Collaborate with IT and other departments to ensure that technology systems and tools are optimized to support efficient patient flow and capacity management.
10. Develop and maintain a culture of continuous improvement, encouraging staff to identify and implement innovative solutions to enhance patient care and efficiency.
11. Serve as a liaison between the Capacity and Patient Flow department and other departments within the organization, promoting open communication and teamwork.
12. Develop and manage department budget, including forecasting and cost-saving initiatives.
13. Ensure that all staff members are trained and educated on patient flow processes and procedures.
14. Handle any patient or staff complaints related to patient flow and capacity management, and work towards resolving issues in a timely and effective manner.
15. Participate in organizational meetings and committees to provide insights and updates on patient flow and capacity management.
