1. Perform blood draws and collect other specimens from patients in a safe and efficient manner.
2. Ensure that all samples are properly labeled and documented for accurate processing and analysis.
3. Maintain a clean and organized work area to comply with health and safety standards.
4. Use proper infection control techniques to prevent the spread of disease and maintain a sterile environment.
5. Verify patient identities and explain procedures to them in a clear and professional manner.
6. Handle and transport specimens according to established protocols to ensure their integrity and quality.
7. Follow established protocols and procedures to accurately and efficiently process specimens.
8. Maintain accurate records and documentation of all samples and tests performed.
9. Collaborate with other healthcare team members to provide exceptional patient care.
10. Keep up-to-date with industry developments and best practices in phlebotomy.
11. Adhere to all HIPAA regulations and maintain patient confidentiality at all times.
12. Handle difficult or sensitive situations with empathy and professionalism.

15. Attend required training and continuing education programs to maintain phlebotomy certification.
