- Oversee and manage a team of pharmacy technicians, ensuring they are properly trained and performing their job duties effectively.
- Monitor and maintain inventory levels, ordering and stocking medications and supplies as needed.
- Collaborate with pharmacists and other healthcare professionals to ensure accurate and timely dispensing of medications.
- Review and update standard operating procedures to ensure compliance with state and federal regulations.
- Conduct performance evaluations and provide ongoing coaching and feedback to pharmacy technicians.
- Troubleshoot and resolve any issues or concerns that may arise in the pharmacy department.
- Maintain a safe and clean working environment, adhering to all health and safety regulations.
- Provide excellent customer service to patients and healthcare professionals, addressing any inquiries or concerns.
- Stay up-to-date on industry developments and advancements, implementing new processes and technologies as appropriate.
- Assist with training and onboarding of new pharmacy technicians, ensuring they are well-equipped to perform their job duties.
Current Pharmacy Technician Certification: Candidates For This Role Must Have A Valid Pharmacy Technician Certification From An Accredited Institution.
Prior Supervisory Experience: A Minimum Of 2 Years Of Experience In A Supervisory Role Is Required, Preferably In A Pharmacy Or Healthcare Setting.
Strong Knowledge Of Pharmacy Operations: The Ideal Candidate Should Have A Thorough Understanding Of Pharmacy Operations, Including Medication Dispensing, Inventory Management, And Regulatory Compliance.
Excellent Communication And Leadership Skills: As A Supervisor Pharmacy Technician, You Will Be Responsible For Managing A Team Of Pharmacy Technicians. Therefore, Strong Communication And Leadership Skills Are Essential.
