Wound Care Specialist (RN)

1. Provide expert wound care management to patients of diverse backgrounds and ages.
2. Conduct thorough assessments and develop individualized treatment plans for patients with wounds.
3. Monitor and evaluate wound healing progress, making adjustments to treatment plans as needed.
4. Administer medications and treatments according to physician orders and nursing protocols.
5. Educate patients and their families on wound care management and prevention strategies.
6. Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare team members to provide comprehensive care.
7. Document all patient care interventions and responses accurately and in a timely manner.
8. Maintain up-to-date knowledge of current wound care techniques and best practices.
9. Adhere to infection control and safety protocols to ensure a safe and healthy environment for patients and staff.
10. Serve as a resource for nursing staff and other healthcare professionals on wound care management.
11. Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient outcomes and satisfaction.
12. Communicate effectively with patients, families, and colleagues to ensure a positive and collaborative work environment.
13. Adhere to ethical and professional standards of nursing practice.
14. Demonstrate empathy, compassion, and respect for patients and their families.
15. Maintain patient confidentiality and privacy at all times.
