- Develop and implement strategic network pricing initiatives for the healthcare organization.
- Utilize expertise in healthcare pricing methodologies to analyze and evaluate network pricing structures.
- Collaborate with internal teams to ensure alignment with company goals and objectives.
- Conduct market research and analysis to identify trends and make data-driven pricing recommendations.
- Monitor and review network performance, identifying areas for improvement and implementing corrective actions.
- Create and maintain pricing models and tools to support decision-making processes.
- Communicate pricing strategies and recommendations to key stakeholders, including senior leadership.
- Stay up-to-date on industry trends and regulations related to network pricing.
- Provide guidance and mentorship to junior team members.
- Identify and implement process improvements to increase efficiency and effectiveness of network pricing processes.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support the development and launch of new products and services.
- Represent Optum in negotiations with network providers to ensure favorable pricing terms.
- Maintain accurate and detailed records of pricing decisions and rationale.
- Continuously evaluate pricing strategies and make adjustments as needed to remain competitive in the market.
- Act as a subject matter expert on network pricing and provide expertise and guidance to other departments within the organization.
Extensive Experience In Network Pricing: A Successful Candidate For This Role Should Have At Least 5 Years Of Experience In Network Pricing, Preferably In The Healthcare Industry. They Should Have A Strong Understanding Of Healthcare Pricing Methodologies And Be Able To Leverage That Knowledge To Drive Cost Savings For Optum.
In-Depth Knowledge Of Healthcare Industry: To Excel As A Senior Network Pricing Consultant At Optum, A Candidate Should Have A Deep Understanding Of The Healthcare Industry, Including Trends, Regulations, And Market Dynamics. This Knowledge Will Be Crucial In Developing Pricing Strategies That Are Aligned With Optum's Business Goals.
Excellent Analytical Skills: This Role Requires A Candidate Who Is Highly Analytical And Able To Work With Large Amounts Of Data To Identify Patterns And Insights. Strong Proficiency In Data Analysis And Modeling Tools Such As Sql, Sas, Or R Is Essential.
