
Source Control Inspector
Performs a variety of technical duties in support of OCSD's Resource Protection Division; performs field inspection, sampling and enforcement to implement the Federal Pretreatment Program, protect public health and safety, and a variety of inspection duties related to water quality, pollution control, and overall environmental protection. The successful candidate will have basic knowledge in the principles of chemistry, hydraulics, and POTW pretreatment operations; industrial and nonindustrial process and manufacturing techniques and wastewater management principles; collection, preparation, and preservation techniques for a variety of wastewater constituents; and occupational hazards and standard safety practices.
2 years of college level course work in science or related technical area with major course work in chemistry
Three years of experience inspecting industrial processes at a level comparable to a Source Control Inspector I with OCSD
