
Respiratory Therapist, Supervisor - Pediatric

- Oversee and manage the respiratory therapy department, including day-to-day operations, staffing, and scheduling.
- Provide leadership and mentorship to a team of respiratory therapists, promoting a positive and collaborative work environment.
- Ensure that all respiratory therapy services are delivered in accordance with hospital policies, procedures, and guidelines.
- Develop and implement training programs for staff to ensure they are up-to-date on the latest techniques and equipment.
- Monitor and evaluate the quality of care provided by respiratory therapists, identifying areas for improvement and implementing corrective actions.
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to develop and implement individualized treatment plans for pediatric patients with respiratory issues.
- Stay informed about advancements in respiratory therapy and pediatric care, and make recommendations for incorporating them into practice.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of patient treatments and progress.
- Serve as a liaison between the respiratory therapy department and other departments within the hospital.
- Participate in hospital committees and initiatives related to pediatric respiratory care.
- Adhere to all safety and infection control protocols.
- Provide excellent customer service to patients and their families, addressing any concerns or questions they may have.
- Manage department budget and resources effectively.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the hospital administration.
Bachelor's Degree In Respiratory Therapy Or Related Field.
Previous Experience In A Supervisory Or Leadership Role.
Current And Valid Respiratory Therapist License In The State Of Oregon.
Minimum Of 5 Years Of Experience In Pediatric Respiratory Therapy.
Strong Knowledge Of Pediatric Respiratory Care Protocols And Procedures.
