  1. Greet patients and visitors in a friendly and professional manner, creating a welcoming and comfortable environment.
  2. Assist physicians and other healthcare providers in patient exams and procedures, ensuring all necessary equipment and supplies are available and properly prepared.
  3. Take and record accurate patient vital signs, medical history, and other pertinent information, maintaining patient confidentiality at all times.
  4. Administer medications and injections as directed by the physician, adhering to all safety protocols and maintaining accurate records.
  5. Perform clerical duties such as scheduling appointments, answering phones, and maintaining patient records, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
  6. Collaborate with the healthcare team to develop individualized care plans for patients, incorporating their physical, emotional, and spiritual needs.
  7. Educate patients on their medical conditions, treatments, and medications, providing them with necessary resources and support.
  8. Maintain a clean and organized workspace, ensuring all equipment is properly sanitized and maintained.
  9. Continuously stay up-to-date on current medical practices, procedures, and regulations to provide the highest level of care to patients.
  10. Foster a positive and professional work environment, promoting teamwork and open communication among colleagues.
  11. Handle patient inquiries and concerns promptly and respectfully, escalating complex issues to the appropriate supervisor or healthcare provider.
  12. Attend staff meetings and participate in continuing education opportunities to enhance skills and knowledge.
  13. Adhere to all HIPAA and OSHA regulations, maintaining patient confidentiality and ensuring a safe and healthy work environment.
  14. Assist with training and mentoring new medical assistant staff, ensuring they are familiar with Piedmont Healthcare policies and procedures.
  15. Contribute to quality improvement initiatives and participate in performance evaluations to continuously improve patient care and satisfaction.

Job Qualifications
  • Minimum Of 2 Years Of Experience As A Certified Medical Assistant (Cma) In A Healthcare Setting, Preferably In A Neurology Or Spine Specialty.

  • Certified As An Advanced Cma Through A Recognized Organization Such As The American Association Of Medical Assistants (Aama) Or The National Healthcareer Association (Nha).

  • Familiarity With Electronic Medical Records (Emr) Systems And Experience With Documenting Patient Information Accurately And Efficiently.

  • Ability To Perform Advanced Procedures Such As Administering Injections, Conducting Ekgs, And Assisting With Minor Surgical Procedures.

  • Excellent Communication And Interpersonal Skills, With The Ability To Work Effectively With Patients, Physicians, And Other Healthcare Team Members In A Fast-Paced Environment.
