  1. Design and develop comprehensive childbirth education programs and curriculum.
  2. Conduct classes and workshops for expecting parents on topics such as prenatal care, childbirth techniques, breastfeeding, and postpartum care.
  3. Create a supportive and inclusive learning environment for all participants.
  4. Assess the needs and concerns of each individual and tailor education accordingly.
  5. Provide evidence-based information and resources to expecting parents to help them make informed decisions about their pregnancy, childbirth, and postpartum journey.
  6. Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure a coordinated and holistic approach to maternal care.
  7. Maintain up-to-date knowledge of the latest research and developments in the field of maternal health.
  8. Utilize a variety of teaching methods and materials to engage and educate participants.
  9. Address any questions or concerns from expecting parents in a compassionate and non-judgmental manner.
  10. Maintain accurate records of attendance, feedback, and program evaluations.
  11. Act as a resource and support system for expecting parents throughout their pregnancy, childbirth, and postpartum journey.
  12. Continuously evaluate and improve the childbirth education program to meet the changing needs and expectations of the community.
  13. Adhere to all healthcare regulations, standards, and policies.
  14. Collaborate with marketing and outreach teams to promote the childbirth education program and reach a wider audience.
  15. Serve as an advocate for expecting parents and promote the importance of childbirth education in the community.

Job Qualifications
  • Relevant Education And Certification: A Childbirth Educator At Piedmont Healthcare Should Possess A Bachelor's Or Master's Degree In Nursing, Child Development, Or A Related Field. They Should Also Hold A Certification As A Childbirth Educator From A Recognized Organization Such As Lamaze International Or The International Childbirth Education Association (Icea).

  • Experience In Maternal And Child Health: The Ideal Candidate Should Have A Minimum Of 3-5 Years Of Experience Working In Maternal And Child Health, Preferably In A Hospital Or Healthcare Setting. This Experience Should Include Providing Education And Support To Expectant Mothers And Their Families.

  • Knowledge Of Childbirth Education Techniques: A Childbirth Educator Should Have A Strong Understanding Of Various Childbirth Education Techniques, Including Lamaze, Bradley, And Hypnobirthing. They Should Also Be Familiar With Evidence-Based Practices And Current Research In The Field Of Childbirth.

  • Excellent Communication And Interpersonal Skills: As A Childbirth Educator, The Candidate Will Be Responsible For Teaching And Counseling Expectant Mothers And Their Families. Therefore, They Should Possess Excellent Communication And Interpersonal Skills To Effectively Communicate Information And Build A Rapport With Their Clients.

  • Passion For Maternal And Child Health: A Childbirth Educator At Piedmont Healthcare Should Have A Genuine Passion For Maternal And Child Health. They Should Be Dedicated To Providing The Best Possible Education And Support To Expectant Mothers And Their Families, And Be Committed To Promoting Healthy Pregnancy, Childbirth, And Postpartum Experiences.
