- Develop and implement individualized nutrition plans for patients based on their specific needs and medical conditions.
- Conduct assessments and evaluations of patients' dietary habits, lifestyle, and health status to determine appropriate nutrition interventions.
- Educate and counsel patients, families, and caregivers on proper nutrition and healthy eating habits.
- Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to ensure coordinated and comprehensive care for patients.
- Stay up-to-date with current research and trends in nutrition and incorporate new knowledge into patient care.
- Monitor and document patients' progress and make necessary adjustments to nutrition plans as needed.
- Conduct group nutrition education sessions and workshops for patients and community members.
- Manage and maintain accurate patient records and documentation in accordance with healthcare industry standards.
- Adhere to all safety and infection control protocols while providing care to patients.
- Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings and provide input on patients' nutrition care plans.
- Maintain a positive and professional attitude while interacting with patients, families, and colleagues.
- Continuously strive to improve and enhance the nutrition program at Piedmont Healthcare through research, quality improvement initiatives, and continuing education.
- Adhere to all ethical and legal standards in the provision of nutrition care.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor or management.
Bachelor's Or Master's Degree In Nutrition Or Dietetics From An Accredited Program.
Registered Dietitian (Rd) Credential From The Commission On Dietetic Registration.
Active Membership In The Academy Of Nutrition And Dietetics.
Minimum Of 2 Years Of Experience In Clinical Nutrition Or Related Field.
Knowledge Of Relevant State And Federal Regulations Related To Nutrition And Dietetics Practice.
