
Exercise Physiologist - Cardiac Rehab

- Develop individualized exercise plans and monitor progress for patients recovering from heart-related conditions.
- Conduct initial assessments and ongoing evaluations to determine patient needs and goals.
- Educate patients on proper exercise techniques and healthy lifestyle choices to improve cardiac health.
- Collaborate with healthcare team to coordinate patient care and ensure comprehensive treatment.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of patient progress and treatment plans.
- Provide emotional support and encouragement to patients throughout their recovery journey.
- Monitor patients' vital signs and responses to exercise, adjusting plans as needed.
- Ensure all safety protocols and procedures are followed during exercise sessions.
- Conduct group education sessions on cardiac health and risk factors.
- Stay current on the latest research and developments in cardiac rehabilitation and exercise physiology.
- Participate in team meetings and contribute to the department's goals and initiatives.
- Serve as a resource for colleagues and other healthcare professionals on exercise physiology and cardiac rehabilitation.
- Maintain a professional and empathetic demeanor when working with patients and their families.
- Adhere to all healthcare regulations and maintain patient confidentiality.
- Continuously evaluate and improve the effectiveness of the cardiac rehabilitation program.
Minimum Of 2 Years Of Experience In Cardiac Rehabilitation Or Related Field.
Bachelor's Or Master's Degree In Exercise Physiology Or Related Field From An Accredited University.
Certification As A Clinical Exercise Physiologist (Cep) Through The American College Of Sports Medicine (Acsm) Or Equivalent.
Knowledge Of Current Research And Best Practices In Cardiac Rehabilitation And Exercise Physiology.
Excellent Communication And Interpersonal Skills, With The Ability To Work Effectively In A Multidisciplinary Team And With Patients Of Varying Backgrounds And Abilities.
