Welcome to Piedmont Healthcare! We are currently seeking a highly organized and personable Front Office Assistant to join our Outpatient Rheumatology team. In this role, you will be responsible for providing excellent customer service and administrative support to our patients and healthcare providers.   1. Greet and welcome patients and visitors in a warm and professional manner.
  2. Answer phone calls and direct them to the appropriate department or individual.
  3. Schedule appointments and maintain the appointment calendar for the Outpatient Rheumatology team.
  4. Collect and verify patient information, including insurance details and medical history.
  5. Assist patients with filling out necessary forms and obtaining required signatures.
  6. Maintain patient confidentiality and adhere to all HIPAA guidelines.
  7. Communicate effectively with patients, healthcare providers, and other team members.
  8. Retrieve and file patient records in an organized and timely manner.
  9. Monitor and order office supplies to ensure efficient operations.
  10. Handle billing and insurance inquiries, and process payments accurately.
  11. Collaborate with other departments to ensure smooth patient flow and continuity of care.
  12. Resolve patient complaints or concerns promptly and professionally.
  13. Stay up-to-date with office policies and procedures, and make suggestions for improvement.
  14. Assist with other administrative tasks as needed.
  15. Promote a positive and welcoming atmosphere for patients and staff.
