- Monitor and record cardiac rhythms: The primary responsibility of the Monitor Technician is to closely monitor and record cardiac rhythms of patients in the Cardiac Telemetry unit. This includes accurately identifying and reporting any abnormalities or changes in the patient's cardiac rhythm.
- Assist with procedures: The Monitor Technician will assist the medical team with various procedures such as placing and removing telemetry leads, obtaining EKGs, and setting up equipment for cardioversions. They must also ensure that all equipment is functioning properly and report any malfunctions.
- Communicate important information: The Monitor Technician will be responsible for communicating important information to the medical team, including changes in cardiac rhythms, patient status, and any issues or concerns that may arise.
