Job Description

  1. Perform blood draws and collect other specimens from patients in a safe, efficient, and compassionate manner.
  2. Follow established procedures and protocols to ensure accuracy and quality of specimens.
  3. Label and process specimens accurately and in a timely manner.
  4. Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
  5. Provide excellent customer service to patients, addressing any concerns or questions they may have.
  6. Collaborate with other members of the healthcare team to ensure timely and accurate delivery of specimens.
  7. Adhere to all infection control and safety standards to protect patients and staff.
  8. Keep up-to-date with phlebotomy techniques and equipment, and attend training sessions as required.
  9. Maintain accurate records of all phlebotomy procedures and patient information.
  10. Assist with other duties as assigned, such as inventory management and equipment maintenance.
  11. Demonstrate a high level of professionalism and confidentiality at all times.
  12. Communicate effectively with patients, colleagues, and supervisors.
  13. Adhere to all HIPAA regulations and maintain patient confidentiality.
  14. Follow all policies and procedures set by Piedmont Healthcare.
  15. Continuously strive to provide the highest level of patient care and satisfaction.
  16. Work efficiently in a fast-paced environment, prioritizing tasks as needed.
  17. Maintain a positive attitude and foster a supportive and collaborative team environment.
  18. Consistently meet productivity and performance standards.
  19. Participate in quality improvement initiatives and recommend process improvements.

Job Qualifications
  • Certified Phlebotomy Technician (Cpt) Or Equivalent Certification From A Recognized Organization.

  • Minimum Of 1-2 Years Of Experience As A Phlebotomist In An Outpatient Or Clinical Setting.

  • Knowledge Of Proper Venipuncture Techniques, Specimen Handling, And Infection Control Protocols.

  • Familiarity With Basic Laboratory Equipment And Ability To Perform Basic Lab Tests.

  • Excellent Communication And Interpersonal Skills, With The Ability To Work With Patients Of All Ages And Backgrounds.
